Benedict Arnold is haunted by memories of battle, and as his friends change to enemies all around him, he suddenly finds himself on a ship in a crashing sea. Mary Magdalene and Judas Iscariot fight to understand why their best friend subjects himself to so much danger, but the truth is complicated. Senator Joseph McCarthy fights to protect America from the ultimate danger. Love affairs, both intellectual and physical, threaten to kindle and combust. Part history, part fantasy, Traitors explodes with intrigue.

In 1782, Benedict Arnold made a decision. In 33 AD, Judas Iscariot made a decision. Today, someone you know may have made a decision. Traitors, a new play b Kristen D. Simpson, travels through different countries, different centuries, and the living room next door, in order to ask: how will history remember someone after their decision has been made?
