The Artists Respond v2: the element of unsurprise

The Artists Respond is a community forum for artists to present work of all kinds in response to current events. Deliberately uncurated and announced with little notice, these events are designed to provide spontaneous and immediate response to what’s going on in the world around us. Within a safe space for presentation and conversation, The Artists Respond will allow makers to connect to one another and to audiences as we continue to move forward as a society.

The second in an ongoing series of Artist Response events, the element of unsurprise will center around two recent court cases with simultaneously surprising and completely unsurprising results. In an open-mic style, artists will sign up to present 5-10 minute pieces to an audience of their peers and community members. No host, no expectations, just rooted experiences and a space for artistic discourse.
