Frequently Asked Questions.
Q. How do I become a member of Tricklock Company? A. The process for becoming a member of Tricklock Company is organic and informal. People often begin by volunteering – a great way to get immersed in a project with the company to see if the process and work are aligned with one’s personal artistic goals. We do not hold auditions at this time. Q. How do I submit my show for consideration in the Revolutions International Theatre Festival? A. You must fill out the Application located here and then send it in with your checklist of supplemental materials. Q. How do I submit my play for consideration in the Tricklock Company Season? A. We are always interested in receiving new scripts, however we have no system set in place as of yet to read and respond to all of the plays submitted to us. We want you to send us your script, just keep in mind that we are working on a way to account for all of the material that is sent to us. Send your play with contact info to our office. Q. How do I book/rent the theatre space? A. Tricklock Performance Space is currently booked for 2006. Please contact the Producing Director Chad Brummett with your inquiries. Q. How do you decide what plays you will do? A. Again, this is an organic process which depends on the needs and ideas of the Ensemble, world events, and in some cases years of well laid plans that can only come to fruition when the time is just right. Q. What is the meaning of your name - Tricklock? A. We chose Tricklock because like the way it bounces off our teeth when we say it. Really, Tricklock is an appropriate word to describe the style of theatre we are most interested in creating – challenging (tricky) puzzle – a puzzle that, with a little determination can be cracked, opened (lock). Q. How do I get to the theatre? Q. Do you have acting classes? A. At this time we have no classes for adults scheduled, but please join our email list and indicate that you are interested in workshops and we will contact you when we hold our next workshop. |
