Award-winning playwright (National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship winner 2004) Idris Goodwin appeared in the 2006 Revolutions Festival with his hip-hop theatrical piece I Have An Agenda. He returned in February of 2006 with a world premiere performance of his original play Braising featuring Tricklock Company’s Summer Olsson and Hermit Arts’ Jonathan Putman. Now catch a staged reading of Goodwin’s new work, partially developed in New Mexico, and participate in an open discussion of the work over refreshments with the playwright and Tricklock actors during this very special one night only event!

Tricklock treats audiences to a darkly enchanted tale of an innocent girl, with a curious curse. When her father is mysteriously kidnapped, Bella Donna sets out to save him. Our heroine attracts a gaggle of strange friends and creatures along the way, but can she trust anyone? Will her mysterious curse cause her to fail? Can she survive the journey through her perilous world and save her father from the Evil Overlord? Blood will be spilled. Stevie Nicks lyrics will be heard.
Bella Donna is written by Juli Hendren (Rot), Aaron Hendren (The Faithful and the Foul – Official Selection at the Santa Fe Film Festival) and Summer Olsson (In The Wind, Dracula). This production is directed by Summer Olsen and features Tricklock Company members Chad Brummett, Katy Houska, Casey Mraz, Kevin R. Elder, Kate Schroeder, Byron Laurie, Julie Hendren, with additional cast members Abi Blueher, Alex Knight, Samuel Taylor and Dani Mettler.
