About Talismans (for being other self):
A new production by renowned performers, dancers, and poets of the stage Vivian Cruz and Hebe Rosell, Talismans is born in the evocative conjuring of Argentinean Olga Orozco’s poetry. A neo-romantic and surrealist poet, Orozco’s work focuses on the woman in her roles as mother, sister, & daughter and seen through the multi colored lenses of Latin American oracle and magic, omens, premonition, the forbidden, and the terror of time. Cruz and Rosell present a powerful interdisciplinary piece intertwining elegant & passionate language, video, dance, song, music, and visual art.
