About Nigerian Spam Scam Scam:
“Urgent & Confidential: Dean Cameron's Nigerian Spam Scam Scam" (The full title) is a two person "multi-media" comedy written by Dean Cameron and directed by Paul Provenza, acclaimed director of the international hit movie The Aristocrats.
After receiving spam email from a Nigeria, Dean Cameron assumed the identity of a sexually confused Florida millionaire, whose only companions are his houseboy and cats, and began a 9 month correspondence with the scammer. With Victor Isaac as the bewildered Nigerian, the show, taken from the actual letters, documents the hilarious relationship which descends into misunderstanding, desperation, and deception. Originally performed over two evenings in Los Angeles at the Sacred Fools Theater as part of their very popular Crime Scene program, the show has also been performed for the "Professionals Against Confidence Crime" seminar in Chicago, James Randi's "Amaz!ng Meeting" in Las Vegas and the Skeptics Society monthly meeting at Cal-Tech in Pasadena, California.
To make the show a truly international experience, Dean and Victor took the show to the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2004 and 2005, where they received rave reviews and played sold out shows, and where they met Tricklock Company (performing the acclaimed Glorious & Bloodthirsty Billy the Kid) in 2005.
