Mission

Tricklock Company is an international theatre organization founded in 1993 whose mission is to create, tour, and produce theatrical performances as a permanent resident company committed to artistic risk, physicality, absurdism, and poetic work.

Vision & Direction

We, Tricklock Company, assert that theatre is a provocative and vital tool for examining the human experience and we present our findings through our work. We assert that theatrical performance is a movement intrinsic to the evolution of our culture. The Vision & Direction of Tricklock Company are exemplified through its ongoing programs:

• The Resident Company: creating, performing locally, and touring dynamic theatre productions nationally and internationally to promote the value of ongoing group work, the creation of new forms, and artistic exchange.
  
• The Revolutions International Theatre Festival and the Tricklock Performance Space: Producing new and inspiring theatre performances and workshops created locally and around the globe in order to foster cultural and artistic exchange.
  
• Tricklock Education Programs: Through The Manoa Project: Teen Playwriting and Summer Ensemble Apprenticeship Program, the Tricklock-UNM Residency, and workshops with the Resident Company, young children, troubled youth, and budding theatre artists train in physical and vocal techniques, creative experimentation, and new play and performance creation and touring. Tricklock Company fosters an environment for the creation of young ensembles dedicated to ongoing live performance work.

Company Structure  

Tricklock Company is comprised of a Board of Directors, a Resident Artistic Ensemble which also fulfills all staff and administrative responsibilities of the business, and a committed core of volunteers and collaborators called the Constellation.

The Board of Directors is made up community members who are well established in the fields of Law, Accounting, Marketing, Education, Politics, and Business.

The Resident Artistic Ensemble is made up of professional actors, writers, producers, and directors. Each Ensemble member also contributes to the administrative work of the company by taking leadership in the areas of producing, development, programming, fundraising and maintenance of the performance space, office and archives.

The Constellation of collaborators is a vital assembly of dedicated community members world wide who contribute to the growth of the company on every level. Constellation members volunteer in the box office, sweep the lobby, fundraise, and collaborate creatively with the resident artistic ensemble.
