Shenoah Allen

Shenoah Allen is an actor, writer, director, producer and teacher. He is the co-founder of burning cities new works co. and half of the Pajama Men, a fierce comedy double act created with comic partner Mark Chavez. As a Pajama Man Shenoah has received numerous awards internationally and appeared in showcases for The Comedy Network, FOX and NBC. PAJAMA MEN is now being produced by Second City at Steppenwolf in Chicago. This marks the first collaboration between The Second City and Steppenwolf Theatre Company – two of Chicago’s premier theatrical organizations. Shenoah is also a founding member of TRICKLOCK COMPANY and has been a producer of TRICKLOCK’S Revolutions International Theatre Festival (as featured in American Theatre Magazine). Through his work on Revolutions, Shenoah has been involved first-hand in a vibrant artistic and cultural exchange with several countries including The Czech Republic, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Norway, Spain and Israel.

Shenoah is a graduate of Dell’Arte International, where he met his mentor and long-time collaborator Daniel Stein (Master Teacher at Dell’Arte, Julliard and Sarah Lawrence). Additionally, Shenoah has trained with master teachers from around the globe—a list which includes Leonardo Shapiro of Shaliko Company, NY; Anne Bogart and SITI Company, NY; The Staniewski Center for Theatre Practices of Gardzienice, Poland; Mariana Sadowksa of Evoe Productions, Ukraine; Carlo Mozzone-Clemente, Italy; Double Edge Theatre; Theatre Grotesqo; q-staff Theatre; Steven Banks and many others.

Shenoah’s original work continues to cut swaths as KARMIC DEBT (written and directed by Allen) Love & Beauty…a comic massacre (conceived by Allen - directed by Allen and Chavez) and Pajama Men prepare for international tours in 2006-07.
