Katy (Donor Relations) has appeared in and co-created Tricklock originals Black River Falling, which opened in April ’07 and has (so-far) toured to Poland and Germany; and Citybeats: Albuquerque with German theatre company Futur3 as part of the 2007 Revolutions Festival. She has also performed with Tricklock in Candide, Dracula, Macbett, and staged readings of The Wolfman by Idris Goodwin & Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination by Helen Fielding. She will be seen in the highly anticipated, grotesquely fantastic Belladonna in the fall of ’07.
With Tricklock's consummate touring original The Glorious and Bloodthirsty Billy the Kid… she has been, at one time or another, Assistant Lighting Designer, Assistant Tour Manager, Assistant Stage Manager, Backstage Technician, Lighting Technician, Understudy, Sound Technician, and Head Cheerleader. She has been on tour with the show from 2005 onward, taking her to the ‘05 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Los Angeles’ Sacred Fools Theatre, and most recently was honored to play Peg-Leg Peg on their January '07 tour to One Yellow Rabbit’s High Performance Rodeo in Calgary.
During the summer of ’07 she had a blast working full-time with the Manoa Project, Tricklock’s teen ensemble & playwriting apprenticeship, as a lead trainer (vocal emphasis) and Assistant Director for the mainstage show.
She has trained and/or performed with artists from internationally esteemed companies such as: Futur3 of Cologne, Germany; Theatre Association Chorea of Lodz, Poland; Teatr Kana of Szczecin, Poland; Teatru Brama of Strzelewo, Poland; Angel Exit Theatre Company of Ireland; Bread & Puppet Theatre of Vermont; and Theatre Grottesco of Santa Fe.
She has also worked with the Black Hills Playhouse in Custer State Park, SD (her heart’s home); the Red Thread Collective of Santa Fe; and locally with the Vortex & UNM theatres.
She enjoys occasional stints playing the Scottish snare drum with Albuquerque’s High Desert Pipes & Drums, and will return to Scotland in August of ’07 to once again compete in Glasgow’s World Pipe Band Championships. |
