Tricklock's Hannah Kauffmann

Hannah Kauffmann is a performer, writer, creator, and organizer who became a member of Tricklock Company in 2009. She has been a co-creator/performer of Tricklock Company’s Strangeways, The Menu, Nick & Emily, Finger Mouth, Her Murder Ballad, Mother of Exiles, Field Dressing, and Lullabies for My Father, which played at the prestigious Passing the Flame Festival in Belgrade, Serbia, in 2011. She has performed, taught, and trained in more than ten countries across five continents, most recently spending a summer intensive in Poland at The Gardzienice Center for Theatre Practices with Włodzimierz Staniewski. Hannah is the director of the annual Manoa Project Work Demonstration and in 2014, she adapted and directed Time Served, the first solo show of National Poetry Slam Champion Carlos Contreras, based on the book of poetry of the same name.
Hannah is the General Manager of the Revolutions International Theatre Festival and a current host of The Reptilian Lounge, Tricklock’s late-night cabaret and variety show.  Hannah is the co-coordinator of a conversation on (dis)appearing, a long-term, multi-volume collaborative dialogue project exploring what it means to be present, absent, visible, invisible, honored, and ignored. Hannah’s work is rooted in themes of social justice, inclusivity, feminism, violence, and magic.
